My husband and I spent an adventurous year away from New Zealand, living on a Wildlife Reserve – Raptors View. We immersed our (then 8 and 11-year-old) children in a new way of life and culture. They attended a year at Southern Cross School that focused on a nature-based learning experience.
It was one of the happiest and most thrilling years of our lives. thescschools.com
One of the best things was the wonderful friends that we met. I was incredibly privileged to have shared this ride with Harriet Nimmo – a zoologist with more than 20 years of experience working in conservation. She has dedicated herself to helping save elephants and rhinos and running Wild Shots Outreach with her equally impressive husband, Mike Kendrick. wildshotsoutreach.org
